Captra Mobile Sales
(previously marketed as QuickTrack)
Captra Mobile Sales enables users of the worldwide accounting package "Quickbooks"
to perform common functions out of the office using a mobile hand held
PDA. Captra runs on both the Palm and Microsoft Windows Mobile operating
systems. Common functions include invoicing, estimating, credit memo's
and receiving payments. It is even possible to perform a stock take using
an integrated bar code scanner. Once the information has been captured
on site at point of activity, the data can be seamlessly sent back to
Quickbooks via numerous methods including cradles, modems, internet and
wide area networking such as GPRS and CDMA technology
Captra tightly integrates with QuickBooks® Pro, Accountant, Enterprise
and the variety of new Premier editions (Not for Profit, Wholesale Distribution,
Manufacturing, Professional services and more). Captra supports QuickBooks
installations using 2002 (USA only), 2003 or 2004 versions. Captra v5.0
also supports Australian, Canadian, and New Zealand versions of QuickBooks
2003 and QuickBooks 2004.
Captra v5.0 meets the requirements established by the Intuit Developers
Network and bears the QuickBooks developer Logo. MobileSales offers a
variety of modules with the standard configuration including the following:
- Customer and Vendor Management
- Estimates and Invoices
- Receiving payments
- Issuing Credit Memos and Purchase orders
- Managing Quantity on Hand/Inventory Count
Captra replaces the inefficient methods of operating a business while on
the road or off-site by eliminating paper files, handwritten estimates and
time wasted on data re-entry. Simply capture or edit the data once; then
synchronize it with QuickBooks. It's a new way of doing business; a better
way of doing business.
Captra Mobile Sales
Detailed below is the main PDA screen for Captra. It highlights the functionality
available to a Captra user on the PDA.
The data collected on the PDA is sent through to Captra Admin. Captra Admin
in turn communicates with Quickbooks to synchronise the data between the
PDA and Quickbooks.

QuickStock
QuickStock is a generic stock take application that enables a typical retailer
to perform a stocktake by using an integrated bar code scanner coupled with
simple and easy to use application software. The QuickStock application
can perform validation of items scanned against a master file extracted
from the retailers back office system.
Track locations, flag products that do not scan and create a stocktake
file in any format ready to be imported into your back office system.
QuickStock is designed to be easy to use and will save a typical retailer
many laborious hours
performing a stocktake with a pad and pencil.
Party Plan
PartyPlan is designed as the first in a series of highly targeted vertical
market applications that addresses the franchise market from 3 levels; Head
Office, Franchise Owner and Franchise Sales Force.
The three PartyPlan applications are named PartyPlanCentral, PartyPlanFranchise
and PartyPlanPda. Working with an existing party plan business to ensure
success the application pays careful attention to the role a consultant
has in interacting with clients, booking and holding parties, managing
inventory and making the sales for the business. Just the right amount
of "carefully focused" contact management is built into the
application; consultants have the information they need to record clients,
book parties, attend to follow up, welcome guests to a party, raise invoices
at the party for guests and hostess, reconcile stock, and manage money
and commissions.
The PartyPlanPda application makes use of barcode scanning in the preparation
of invoices and for counting inventory. The PartyPlanPda data is syncronised
(as required but say daily) with the PartyPlanFranchise desktop application
over the internet (or wirelessly using GPRS) so that the PartyPlanFranchise
owner has a "live" view of historical and forward booking activity
of the consultants.
The PartyPlanFranchise application manages the inventory of the franchise
including the inventory of the consultants. Orders are readily placed
on suppliers and there is an inwards goods facility to convert orders
into invoices. Printing barcodes for an inventory item or for the items
contained on a whole invoice is supported. Images of inventory items can
be recorded and viewed.
The PartyPlanCentral application performs similar roles to the PartyPlanFranchise
application but has more focus on the processes of managing inventory
and the franchise owners.
